If your in the middle or even outside of the green pipe avoid tapping your screen too much because it might get the bird pop higher into the air and started to losses out of control and there's a big possibility that it would hit into the pipes corner and it could lose you a turn.

Lots of players always focus on the bird itself but for me it's not a good idea (at least this is from my own opinion) Why? Focusing on the bird while playing might not prepared you on the next pipe that your crossing, I recommend to focus your eyes on the next path.
Stay away from distractions
If your accompanied by someone else and talking too much it might distract you on certain cases especially if your a starter. Some players likes to talk while playing at the same time because they might feel it could be better to fend off the frustration.
